Working Student Data Science (m/f/d)

Location: Hamburg (hybrid). You must live within commuting distance of Hamburg, as the role requires one day on-site per week.

Scope: Working student position with flexible working hours

Your responsibilities will include:

Data exploration and preprocessing
Analysis and preparation of new machine data
Test and compare various methods in the fields of machine learning and AI
Build and enhance automated data processing pipelines
Contribute to the development of AI methods, for example in the areas of Explainable AI, unsupervised learning, or domain adaptation

These qualities will lead you to success:
#Must-Haves

Advanced student in computer science, mathematics/statistics, physics, or a related field (other fields also welcome), with >1 year of planned study remaining
Very good Python skills and experience with relevant packages, especially Pandas, NumPy/SciPy, TensorFlow or PyTorch, scikit-learn, and Plotly
Strong knowledge of statistics and stochastics
Excellent proficiency in either German or English
A structured and independent way of working, as well as enthusiasm for familiarizing yourself with new technical topics

Nice to Have

Basic knowledge of sensors and sensor data
Initial practical experience with machine learning or AI
Interest in industrial applications, time series data, and data-driven methods
