‍Location: Hamburg (hybrid). You must be based within commutable distance to Hamburg, as one weekly on-site day is part of the role.
Working hours: Flexible between 30 and 40 hours per week.

These tasks await you:

Developing and continuously improving our data science services and data pipelines for European industrial customers
Analyzing, processing, and modeling industrial time-series data
Developing data-driven approaches for condition monitoring, anomaly detection, and process optimization
Building robust Python components and integrating new functionality into our cloud platform
Contributing to deployment, testing, CI/CD, and orchestration processes
Working closely with our software, cloud, and UX engineers to integrate new features
Independently developing new data-driven product capabilities

These qualities will lead you to success:
#Must-haves

A completed degree in computer science, data science, mathematics, natural sciences, engineering, or a comparable technical field
First professional experience or equivalent practical experience in a technical environment, e.g. data science, software engineering, cloud engineering, or related fields
Strong Python skills and experience developing scalable, tested, and production-ready software
Experience with Git (GitHub), CI/CD workflows, and modern software development practices
A basic understanding of machine learning, statistics, or time-series analysis, and an interest in applying data-driven models to real-world applications
Experience with a cloud platform (preferably Microsoft Azure, alternatively AWS or GCP)
A strong commitment to clean, testable, and maintainable code as well as a structured and independent way of working
Very good German skills (at least C1)

#Nice to have
Ideally, you bring experience or knowledge in one or more of the following areas:

Experience with a service orchestration tool or workflow management system (e.g. Prefect, Airflow, or Dagster)
Machine learning and development of data-driven models, for example with scikit-learn or PyTorch
Statistics, stochastic processes, or time-series analysis, for example with NumPy, Pandas, or SciPy
Experience with software agents, agentic workflows, or integrating modern AI systems (e.g. through MCP-based interfaces)
Containerization and deployment using Docker or Kubernetes
Containerization and deployment using Docker or Kubernetes MLOps, model deployment, or operating machine learning applications in production
